The Olde Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, South Carolina is the site for this April 2015 program of chamber music and solo performance presented by the Vivian Major Robinson Concert series. Pianist Keiko Sekino of UNC Greensboro teams with cellist Nathaniel Yaffe of the North Carolina Symphony to present sonatas by Beethoven and Brahms. Individually, Yaffe performs one of the Bach solo cello suits while Sekino plays an arrangement of one of Bach’s most popular choral works, as well as two intermezzi by Brahms. Rounding out the show is an early symphony by Shostakovich from a Masterworks concert by the Greenville Symphony Orchestra in January 2015.
